So today we are going to talk about something I absolutely love! Crystals!!! I really do and my collection is kinda getting out of hand to the point that I’m storing them in extra bead trays I have.
Crystals have long been used in healing throughout history in various civilizations. Each stone has its own vibration that helps to provide holistic healing in its own unique way. I use them in my meditation practice, and as well in the energy work I do to rebalance chakras or in Reiki sessions. Many people I’ve talked with always want to know which stones to get first. So today, I’m going to share with you the four crystals I think would be a good “starter kit”.
Rose Quartz is a must have in any collection! Rose quartz is a stone that is known as the Heart Stone and is a crystal of Unconditional Love and provides peace to those around. Rose Quartz helps to heal old emotional wounds, helps to inspire love, and helps to bring compassion to yourself as well as others.
Amethyst is a protective stone and for me is a stone that helps with my personal spiritual growth/healing…. I also use this stone for my meditation. Amethyst helps to stimulate calmness and also brings peace to the owner. Amethyst is a stone that can increase spirituality and enhance your intuition. Amethyst is also known as a sobriety stone and can help break addictions such as drinking, smoking, or other destructive behaviors.
Tigers Eye is a protective stone by providing courage and fighting any negative energy around you. Tiger’s Eye also stimulates the Root Chakra which will help you stay grounded. Tiger’s Eye also provides strength, confidence, and can help to kick the “blues”. I also love this stone as it attracts good fortune so I keep Tiger’s Eye with me in my work bag as well as my office.
Obsidian is another great grounding stone to provide you a way to receive energy from the Earth. I love Obsidian because it shields from negativity that may be around you and disperses them. One of my favorite properties of this stone is that it helps to heal any unloving thoughts you have of yourself and works to remove these resentments from your aura. Obsidian has a strong vibration and works really well with the Third Eye chakra. If you’re open to tapping into your higher self this would be a stone to start using!
So there they are! There is no wrong stone or crystal to start with but I would definitely have these four in my collection over time. I personally have many pieces of each these stones because you really can never have too many! If you’re in the DFW area and you want a great store to visit please go to the Crystal Source in Hurst, TX. James knows EVERYTHING there is to know about crystals and will take good care of you!
I would love to see your collection! Let me know if you have any questions or post pictures of your collection!!
