One of my new clients this week made a comment that he had seen about four other massage therapists and felt like I would be a good fit to work with him. I asked if he expected to find “The One” on his first visit and he said that he did. Well, got that me thinking about how clients may get frustrated during the process of finding a therapist that they feel comfortable with.
As a client, you are looking for a therapist that will help you meet your personal goals so you should understand what you are looking for in a therapist. If you are a weekend warrior, then you may be looking for a therapist that is knowledgeable in sports massage or has Deep Tissue experience. I could imagine the disappointment a client may feel if they are looking to work out some soreness and the therapist they have is a Swedish massage guru. What are looking to accomplish?
I would love to hear finding your therapist! Thoughts?
